Cloth diapering overnight

So you have started your cloth journey and are ready to use exclusively cloth?! Bye, bye disposables!

To help you get started, I have to first say that using cloth overnight is just a little bit different than daytime cloth.

Right away I can tell you that although our insert sets can work for some babies overnight, unfortunately, natural fibers can only absorb so much. The more layers of fabric, the more absorption it has. Our insert sets are trim which makes them perfect for daytime use with changing every 2-3 hours but not so much for nighttime when baby's "leak" more than that!

While some babies can go through the night with one of our insert sets with another half of a set included, it is very normal for even a newborn to need a special overnight insert (that has more layers of absorption) to make it through the night without needing to be changed.

Our overnight insert sets are absolutely amazing/wonderful/stupendous....! My heavy wetter stays dry for 12-14 hours with them.

They are designed specifically for longer use to help you regain those precious hours of sleep. AND they are lined in the back with a waterproof lining to help keep all of the moisture in place!

You can find them on our site if you want to check them out!

You can also use a combination of inserts and boosters to last through the night.

Check out our boosters here:

My go to combo is a tank insert with 2 boosters. With my son, and what I recommend when overnight diapering any little boys, is to fold 1 of the boosters in half in front of his penis! This makes a huge difference!

Another thing about overnight cloth is that they are naturally a bit bulkier due to the extra layers of absorption. This can cause getting a good fit to be a bit trickier than during the day.
