Washing & Drying Instructions – Lifesaver Mats

Remove any solid matter before washing. Wash soiled mats within 3 days. Do not leave them unwashed longer than this, as it can lead to odor and bacteria buildup. For heavy messes that may stain or develop odors, rinse under cold running water until the water runs clear before storing until wash day.

For Heavy Messes

Start with a short pre-wash in warm water (up to 140°F / 60°C) using the recommended amount of detergent — we suggest Tide Original to Line 1. Follow with a heavy-duty, longest-cycle wash in warm or cold water, using the full recommended detergent amount. Add other laundry items to create a full load for proper agitation.

For Everyday or Light Use

If the mat is lightly soiled or already pre-rinsed, a regular wash cycle in cold or warm water (up to 140°F / 60°C) with the normal amount of detergent is sufficient.

Do not use bleach, fabric softeners, or natural detergents, as they can affect waterproofing and absorbency.

Drying

Hang to dry whenever possible. If needed, tumble dry on low heat.
