For a less harsh refresh - like you found a soiled Lifesaver Mat in the bottom of your hamper, forgotten for a few weeks, but there's no signs of mold or mildew - try a quick vinegar soak. Starting with clean items, mix 1 part white vinegar to 4 parts cold water and let your bedding soak for 30 minutes. Repeat your regular wash routine.
