Think of the Sleepsaver as a luxury fitted sheet - super soft minky, plus absorbency and waterproof protection. The biggest difference being that the Sleepsaver stays in place across your mattress using elastic straps instead of wrapping around the sides of your mattress. But the Sleepsaver acts to replace your fitted sheet - it should be secure and snug fitting on your bed, and some people may choose to use it as part of their co-sleeping arrangement.
If you choose co-sleeping, be sure to be aware of the Safe Sleep 7.
At Lil Helper, we also offer a more traditional fitted crib sheet option.
We recommend following safe sleep practices as outlined by the American Academy of Pediatrics or your country's safe sleep guidelines.
We do not recommend including a Lifesaver Mat as part of your co-sleeping set up. While it can be a useful tool for side-lying breastfeeding and postpartum, the mat is both loose and heavy, and not suitable for infant sleep.
Safe Sleep: Is the Lifesaver and Sleepsaver suitable for co-sleeping?
